HAWKS that SOAR
During week 13 and 14 of the fall semester, Volcano Vista faculty/staff recognized over 700 positive behavior acts. The eight hawks that were randomly selected for our Hawk Card drawing are as follows:

ABSENCE ADMIT
Complete the attached form and turn it in to the main office secretary within two (2) days of the absence. If the absences are consecutive, turn in form within two (2) days of last absence.
It is not necessary to call in the absence – just submit this form to the main office.
The absence admit form is also available in the front office.

Calendar 08-09
This link provides a calendar for the 2008-09 school year. The state department changed of testing windows. The SBA (Juniors) will be administered March 30 - April 1 instead of February. This will be held in conjunction with Student-Led Conferences with the Advisory Teachers. Also, the Spring Professional Development date was changed from April 9 to April 24.

You can check schools for your address from the APS website, ww2.aps.edu and select the “Parents” link. Then, choose “Schools for your address” which is a link to the city’s website. You can type in your address and the resulting information gives the elementary, middle and high school for that address.

Volcano Vista High School needs your business to form a partnership that supports our school. Join-a-School Business Partnerships are designed to meet the needs and resources of the school and the business. Volcano Vista High School can provide visibility and recognition, collaboration in service projects, and students for work projects. Immediate needs of Volcano Vista include the following: • Communication regarding the workforce needs in our graduates • Financial support for extra-curricular clubs and organizations to begin developing programs • Staff recognition • Specialized services

Once you see a calendar, you may push the button entitled "filter" at the top of the page. Select Volcano Vista to view ONLY those events for our school.
